Between 2005 and 2008 I have studied Media- and Communication Studies as well as german language and literature at the University of Hamburg as an academical background.
In 2008 I have finished my studies with the B.A. and 1.5 as my final grade. I wrote my final paper about the movie Fight Club and the structure of visual clues in the narrative of unreliable so-called mindfuck movies. I also gave a lesson about this topic in an academical reading series at the WISAG. In my final oral exams I researched the system of theatre during the NS-time and the era of Young and New german film.
During the end of my studies, I did some hands-on training:
- in the dramaturgy department f.e. at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg and at the K3 / Kampnagel
- in the area of producing/development for TV and film at the Studio Hamburg and at Teamworx (now UFA Fiction)
Along the way, I took part in many writing courses:
-
From 2005 to 2009 I participated in the writing education Nachwuchs.texte and Theater.texte in the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg with David Spencer and Kristo Sagor. I have also been an assistant here and developed four plays, which were publicly presented in the Malersaal.
-
In 2007 I visited a writing course by the Hamburg writer Nils Mohl at the University of Hamburg.
-
2007 and 2008 I was chosen to participate at the Schreiblabor of the Literaturhaus Hamburg with Mareike Krügel, Kristof Magnusson and Thomas Pletzinger and publicly presented my short stories.
-
In 2008 I did a workshop for scenical writing with David Gieselmann at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg while assisting at the Heartbeat-Festival.
-
2008 I visited a two-days screenwriting course by Gabriel Bornstein at the Volkshochschule Hamburg.
Aditionally I have been chosen for some promotional programmes:
-
Since 2006 I am an alumni of the Zeit foundation and participate in several educational and cultural offers.
-
In 2009 I was awarded a scholarship by the Kinder- und Jugendtheaterzentrum for participating at the Dramatikerbörse Nenzing. As part of the german delegation of writers I was involved in a one-week-programm during this international children theatre festival with readings, workshops and many other things.
-
In 2013 I was invited to the Academy for Childrens Media and supported by my mentor Armin Prediger in developing an animated series for children called „Bubbly Brains“.
-
During the academy, I was part of five weeks full of workshops and client projects for KIKA and LUDINC.
